Meredith Bordelon BS, RDMS, RVT, CEMT
My educational journey is deeply rooted in the medical and biological sciences. I pursued my undergraduate studies at Colorado State University, majoring in Biological Sciences, followed by obtaining another bachelor's degree in diagnostic medical sonography. Currently, I devote my full-time efforts to a vascular medical device company, where I teach sonographers nationwide and contribute to vascular medicine research. Despite the demanding nature of my role, I find relaxation and rejuvenation in what I affectionately call 'horse time,' which ultimately steered me towards the practice of equine massage.
From a young age, my fascination with horses has been unwavering, much to my mother's initial apprehension. I eagerly seized every opportunity to learn about these magnificent animals, relishing their calming and therapeutic presence. Over time, I progressed from learning to ride and jump to even mastering the art of archery from horseback! Owning and caring for my own horse remains a lifelong aspiration, but for now, nurturing my leased horse, Timber, and caring for yours, brings me immense happiness and fulfillment.
Driven by a passion for horses, I pursued equine massage training and have tried to absorb as much detail about these beautiful creatures as possible. My certification was conferred by Greg Gage through his rigorous Equine Massage Therapy Therasage program. Since then, I have specialized in various modalities including massage therapy, trigger point therapy, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), KT Taping, TENS/EMS therapy, laser therapy, red light therapy, and tendon massage for both front and hind legs.
I would love to meet you and your horse, so please leave me a message! Photos of your large "fur" baby are always welcome! :)
